This is a key Management position and will play a central role in managing the development and delivery of SDF’s Peer Research and Involvement Projects and the Addiction Worker Training Project. The post holder will assist the sector to develop wider support programmes linked to employability, welfare and housing. This is a senior management post involving key aspects of the organisation’s work, working closely with the Chief Executive Officer and Heads of departments to support and represent, at both local and national levels, a wide range of interests, promoting collaborative, evidence-based responses to drug use.
The successful candidate will have extensive managerial experience and will take lead responsibility for project development and delivery. They will have a track record of working with marginalised populations and in particular people with drug problems. The role will include liaison with planning partners including Scottish Government and other NGO’s and will require excellent communication and organisational skills, enthusiasm and drive, and requires a collaborative work approach.
