Trish is currently Blood Borne Viruses (BBV) Network Manager with Public Health, NHS Lanarkshire where she plays a lead role in the strategic planning and development of blood borne virus services (HIV and Hepatitis) across the spectrum of education, prevention, testing, treatment, care and support. This role also includes leading the commissioning of third sector BBV services across Lanarkshire.
She has over 30 years’ experience in drug, alcohol, HIV and sexual health prevention/improvement, working with education, health, social care and the third sector in Scotland, the UK and further afield. In 2003 she worked as the Alcohol Drug Action Team (ADAT) Development Officer for North Lanarkshire where she developed and has continued to maintain a keen interest in children affected by substance misuse and more recently the work on adverse childhood experiences (ACEs).
Trish is a member of a number of local and national groups that support the implementation of the Scottish Government’s Sexual Health and BBV Framework and also a member of the South Lanarkshire Alcohol Drug Partnership (ADP) Board and the PADS Quality Sub Group.
