Michelle Sloan

National Training and Development Officer

Michelle is a member of the workforce development team and her role is to focus on the delivery of national commissions to guide the Scottish drug and alcohol workforce. Michelle delivers courses such as stigma, trauma and substance use, everyone has a story, as well as others within the core programme.

Michelle has experience working with youth within an educational setting, as well as previously working as an Addictions Education and Prevention Specialist within the NHS Ayrshire and Arran. In her previous roles, she coordinated, developed and implemented prevention activities for both young people and adults, as well as developed an educational resource for schools within Ayrshire that linked with the curriculum for excellence, experiences and outcomes. She was also part of the Brief Interventions delivery program that delivered to GP’s, Antenatal and A&E staff.
