Cocaine in Scotland - what's the scale of risk?

This conference aimed to uncover the story behind recent headlines over the growth in cocaine use in Scotland.

Among the issues highlighted were:

• the need for more specialist cocaine treatment services in Scotland (see SDF press release)
• growing concern over the impact of a growing trend for combined alcohol and cocaine use, and how services must respond to this challenge
• debate on whether current mass communication campaigns aimed at highlighting cocaine risks are effective in reducing harm.
