
Dr John Budd
Board Member
John is a GP at Edinburgh Access Practice (EAP), Co-ordinator, Lothian Deprivation Interest Group and Chair of the board of directors, North Edinburgh Drug and Alcohol Centre. EAP is a GP practice and is a partner agency, along with social work and housing, providing a range of healthcare services for homeless patients. John worked as a GP specialist in substance misuse in Muirhouse, Edinburgh. He has also worked as a community doctor in rural KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa.
John is chair of DIG, a Lothian group of primary health care workers which promotes high quality primary care for socially excluded groups and communities experiencing high levels of multiple deprivation. He is also a steering group member for the Deep End project.
